A set of learning outcomes constituting the components of the requirements for a given qualification whose attainment has been confirmed on the basis of a separately conducted validation.

The above definition is consistent with the definition included in the Recommendation of the European Parliament and of the Council of 18 June 2009 on the ECVET system.

The term “credits” referred to in the integrated qualifications system means something else than the term “osiągnięcia” (“attainment”, “achievement”) would mean in colloquial Polish – for it does not refer to any attainment in any sphere but specifically to the confirmed attainments in a learning process (outcomes), which have been provided for in the requirements for a given qualification.
